The first season of Euphoria premiered on June 16, 2019 and contains 8 episodes. Season 1 of Euphoria follows a teenager named Rue Bennett (Zendaya) who has just come out of rehab and is trying to find her way back in life. He befriends Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer), a trans teenager who has just moved to the city and is looking for his place in the world.
Rue and Jules forge an intense friendship and encourage each other as they find ways to overcome their personal problems. They also met several other friends such as Kat Hernandez (Barbie Ferreira), Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney), and Fezco (Angus Cloud).
The main story of season 1 is Rue struggling to overcome drug addiction and find a way out of the circle. He also struggles to deal with the pain caused by the loss of his sibling who died.
Jules also faces the same problem as he struggles to find his place in the world as a trans teenager and struggles to deal with the pain caused by his tough past.
